This is a “needle in a haystack” search! Do you know someone who might be both qualified and interested?
The owner of this small, but well-established business needs a personal administrative assistant. Approximately 15 hours per week, some of which will be worked onsite at the owner’s office during business hours and some of which may be worked from your home office.
This person is a very successful entrepreneur. That’s where he excels! But he does not excel at formatting letters, preparing reports, or using his technology efficiently. And that’s where he needs the excellence of a personal administrative assistant.
Our client’s ideal candidate is:
- recently experienced as administrative assistant to an entrepreneur or small business owner;
- very savvy in use of technical tools and softwares for the workplace (including a blackberry, Word, Excel, Outlook);
- clearly and genuinely interested in working only part-time hours for the foreseeable future (measured in years, not weeks);
- pleased to work for $14-15 per hour in order to “keep the needle sharp” through part-time office-related work.
The hiring process will include in-person interviews; testing in typing, numeric data entry, Word, and Excel; and background screenings. We also need to be able to substantiate use of a blackberry. So we’re encouraging applicants to apply via their blackberry (or to do so once resume has been submitted separately).
Our client is also willing to consider an independent contractor who will focus on the technical skills and other as-needed projects. This would be paid on a 1099-basis; probably in the range of $20-25 per hour. Be sure to mention whether it’s the permanent part-time position or the independent contracting that is of interest.
Do you know anyone who might be both qualified and interested? If so, please encourage them to apply directly: resume@franksemployment.com. A more traditional job description is also available on our website. Be sure to mention job 107409, the permanent part-time Personal Administrative Assistant opportunity!
